Dear Readers,
If you’re a Disney fan, the phrase “Drinking around the world” has probably been ingrained in your brain since the first time you set foot in Epcot at Walt Disney World. Drinking around the world has basically become a rite of passage as a Disney adult. The concept consists of drinking one drink in every country at Epcot, totaling 11 drinks in one day. Although drinking around the world is a tradition, few people talk about eating around the world. This activity is family-friendly and sometimes cheaper. In this blog article, I will go one-by-one through the countries and what I would and wouldn’t recommend so you can get the best bang for your buck while keeping quality in mind.
MEXICO
There are three ways to enter the world showcase: Mexico, Canada, or France. I always start with Mexico and work my way around the world. Mexico has two bars, one quick service location, and two sit-down locations,
In Mexico, my top favorite spot is the La Cava de Tequila bar. Although this usually has a long line, it is absolutely worth it. If you’re not feeling a cocktail, they have a couple of mocktail options to peruse. But the star of the show for food here is freshly warmed-up chips with queso. This queso has beaten every other queso I have ever tried, and it is the perfect snack when you just want a little bit of air conditioning and a place to sit down.
Let’s talk about the San Angel Inn Restaurante sit-down restaurant location. This is the restaurant located inside the pyramid, where you have a view of the volcano and small boats going by as you enjoy your meal. It serves up traditional Mexican dishes and is a very good option if you want some good food, different scenery, and an indoor table service restaurant.
Outside of the pyramid, there are three food options:
- La Choza de Margarita- a Mexican-style margarita and a delicious snack booth.
- La Cantina de San Miguel- A quick-service restaurant serving everything from tacos to empanadas to nachos to churros.
- La Hacienda de San Angel- A table service restaurant similar to San Angel Inn Restaurante.

I would check the menus ahead of time on the My Disney Experience App to see if either of them sounds more appealing to your group.
NORWAY
The next stop along the way is Norway, which has fewer options than Mexico when it comes to food, but it definitely has unique offerings. Germany features one bakery and one sit-down character dining location,
First, Norway has the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, which serves homemade Norwegian pastries such as school bread, kringla, and much more. If you want a sweeter snack or dessert, this is a must.
Also, Norway has the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, a character sit-down dining location. Here, you are able to meet the princesses while you dine. It is a bit pricey, being an all-you-can-eat dining location. They have a set menu, and you can get as much as you would like of any item. They have reservations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Adults will cost in the $60-$70 range per meal, and kids are $30-$50 per meal. Breakfast is slightly cheaper than the other meals, which is something to keep in mind if you’re planning to make a reservation here. Also, it might be a good idea to take a look at the menu beforehand to see if it’s something your whole family will enjoy.
CHINA
Next stop: China! China has one quick-service location, one table-service location, and one booth.
First off is the Lotus Blossom Café quick-service location. They have traditional dishes such as orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and similar items. It is a great place to stop for a quick bite or even an ice cream treat.
The table-service location is called Nine Dragons Restaurant. They have a large menu with a big variety of items such as wontons, dumplings, and traditional beef and chicken dishes. The portions here are quite large, so I usually share an entrée with someone else, and it is the perfect size.
Finally, the booth, Joy of Tea, is right outside the courtyard area of China. It offers some egg rolls as a snack and tea, beer, and cocktails. If you are craving milk tea or boba while you’re in Epcot, this will be your place for a pick-me-up.
OUTPOST
I’m not sure whether to count the outpost as a country or not, but it still has food options, and it can definitely count as a stop around the world. The outpost has one small snack booth.
The snack booth is called Refreshment Outpost. This snack booth is known more for refreshing drinks, slushies, and Dole Whip. If you don’t want to have to wait at a snack cart to get a soda or a water bottle, this might be the perfect stop since it usually doesn’t fill up as much as other countries.
GERMANY
Welcome to Germany! Here they have a bakery, a quick service kiosk, and a sit-down restaurant.
Let’s start with the Karamell-Kuche Bakery! From the name, you can maybe guess that it’s a bakery where everything will have a little bit (or a lot) of that delicious caramel from Germany. So, if you’re a caramel lover, this is the place for you!
Moving on to the Sommerfest quick service kiosk, here you can get a drink, a bratwurst, a traditional giant pretzel with cheese dip, or even the famous pretzel bread pudding, which has been all over my for you page on TikTok.
Finally, a fan favorite is the Biergarten Restaurant. This is a buffet-style restaurant where you pay a fixed price for lunch or dinner and can get as much as you would like. It is $49 per adult and $28 per child to plan ahead. They offer everything from sausages to schnitzel to strudel. And if this weren’t enough, you are entertained with every bite as you listen to a polka band.
ITALY
Ciao! We’ve made it to Italy. Italy has one snack cart, one bar, two sit-down restaurants, and one hidden quick service location.
To start off with, the Gelateria Toscana Snack Booth. Here, they serve some delicious gelato, milkshakes, coffee creations, and beverages. You’re nearly halfway through the world showcase, so this might be just the sugar boost that you need, especially on a hot, summer, Florida day.
Moving on to the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. This bar features traditional cocktails, beer, and wine, along with some tasty dishes, including pasta. They only have six dishes on the menu here, showing that it is more a bar than a restaurant although there are food options.
Tutto Italia Ristorante and Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria are both sit-down locations in Italy. Tutto Italia Ristorante focuses more on pasta dishes, while Via Napoli is more geared towards pizza. Via Napoli sometimes opens its quick service windows and sells pizzas, but it’s very hit or miss whether they will be open. Both restaurants are great sit-down options with many choices for everyone in your group.

THE AMERICAN ADVENTURE
The American Adventure offers a taste of home while you are also able to get some air conditioning while watching The American Adventure show. The American Adventure features two snack carts, a quick service location, and a bar.
ATTENTION TURKEY LEG LOVERS! If you are craving a turkey leg, fear not, Fife & Drum Tavern Snack Booth is roasting your turkey leg as we speak! Apart from this, this will be regular Disney snack cart with some other snack options. Here is where the drinks are a bit more exciting featuring slushies, root-beer floats, and more.
If you are craving a sweet treat, head over the funnel cake snack booth where they have funnel cakes with a myriad of toppings, definitely one of my guilty pleasures!
Now on to the Regal Eagle Smokehouse quick-service location. This is the place to appease all your barbeque wants and needs. This will have all the traditional dishes of a backyard barbeque on the Fourth of July. So, if you’re craving some traditional American food look no further.
Finally, Block & Hans Bar will offer some pretzel nuggets, and cinnamon-glazed nuts in addition to beer options.
JAPAN
We’ve made it to Japan! Japan has one snack booth, one quick-service dining locations, and two sit-down dining locations.
Let’s start with the Kabuki Café Snack Booth. Kabuki Café offers a few items. Firstly, they have kakigori which is shaved ice with syrup which is perfect for any weather. Also, they have sake slushies, sushi rolls, and other beverages. The kakigori is the specialty but Kabuki Café has a good variety of items.
Moving on the Katsura Grill. I am a little biased, but I think the Katsura Grill is one of my favorite quick service places in Epcot. They feature noodles, teriyaki, curry, and a selection of Japanese sides. They have seating inside and outside and everything I’ve tried here is a good portion and very tasty.

In Japan, there is Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya and the Teppan Edo Restaurant. The name gives it away, but Shiki-Sai is a sushi restaurant, while Teppan Edo is dining with a show. They are both very high-quality foods, and Teppan Edo also has sushi if your group can’t decide on which of the two to eat at.

MOROCCO
Welcome to Morocco, where street markets are intriguing and henna art is on full display! Morocco has a snack booth, a quick-service location, and a sit-down dining location.
Starting off with the Oasis Sweets & Sips snack booth, this is the place to get all the Moroccan pastries your heart desires along with beverages alcoholic and non-alcoholic, so everything can enjoy!
The Tangerine Café: Flavors of the Medina quick-service location is another one of my favorites in Epcot. They serve kebabs with aioli and a small salad for a low price, and it is the perfect snack. I recommend this to every person that goes to Epcot.

Finally, the Spice Road Table Restaurant is an outdoor sit-down dining location in the heart of Morocco. They serve a variety of small dishes with many options and a variety of drink options for everyone to dive right in! I can attest that the naan spread is the perfect small plate at this restaurant.
FRANCE
Bienvenue à France, where the Eiffel Tower can be seen behind the buildings, and Remy has a ride dedicated completely to him! France has one bar booth, one snack shop, two quick-service dining locations, two sit-down dining locations, and one signature dining restaurant.
First off, let’s look at the Les Vins des Chefs de France bar booth. Just like the name, this is a booth with many different alcoholic drinks. Most notably, the orange slushy, which has been constantly on my for you page. This booth has no food options, but it is great for a refreshing drink.
Moving on to the L’Artisan des Glaces snack location. This is an ice cream shop that also serves up macarons, croque glace (ice cream in a warm brioche bun- YUM!), and even coffee with ice cream. This is a must if you’re in the mood for a cold, sweet treat in France.
If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat that isn’t ice cream, you’re in luck! Just walk over to Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, which is the quick-service location in France. Apart from just serving up freshly made pastries and desserts, they also serve sandwiches, specialties (my favorite being the soup of the day in a bread bowl), and a variety of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Les Halles is one of the quick service places with a lot of quality variety and many desserts to choose from to take home from the park.
If you’re looking for some more traditional dishes such as escargots and charcuterie, Les Chefs de France, the sit-down dining location will be sure to tickle your taste buds. I have always enjoyed my meals there and been able to practice my French which is fun. Also, if you’re interested in trying ratatouille from the movie, you can order that for lunch or dinner and see what the big fuss is all about!
La Creperie de Paris is the second sit-down location where they mainly serve savory and sweet crepes. They also offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as fixed menu for a bigger meal. This is in my top three of restaurants in Epcot and I would definetely recommend to have a bite to eat here.

The second quick-service dining location that I mentioned is attached to La Creperie de Paris, and it is called Crepes A Emporter. Here, they offer simpler crepes with a little less variety, but since it is a quick service location, it is great to grab a crepe and eat while walking around the World Showcase.

Finally, France is one of the countries in the world that offers a signature dining experience at Monsieur Paul. The price is $195 per adult, and it includes a starter cocktail, an hor d’oeuvre, a fish course, a palate cleanser, a meat course, a cheese plate, a big dessert, and to finish off, assorted mini desserts and a digestif cocktail. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, Monsieur Paul offers an incredible opportunity.
THE UNITED KINGDOM
Welcome to the United Kingdom, where there is most definitely a pub and a fish and chips shop! Here in the United Kingdom, there is one quick-service kiosk, one beer cart, one pub location, and one sit-down dining location.
Let’s start off with the Yorkshire County Fish Shop quick service kiosk. As the name states, this kiosk’s specialty is fish and chips and some drink options.
Moving on to the UK Beer Cart. They serve three types of beer:
- The Harp Lager Draft
- The BrewDog Punk IPA
- Seasonal Hard Cider
If you are in the mood for a quick drink, this beer cart is the perfect quick stop.
The Rose & Crown Pub is the pub location, and it fills up QUICK! They offer specialty cocktails, flights, scotch whisky, pub blends, beer & hard cider, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages. If you want the authentic English pub experience, this is the place!
To talk more about dining options in the United Kingdom, I must mention the Rose & Crown Dining Room sit-down location. They offer traditional dishes such as fish & chips, shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, and more! They offer indoor and outdoor seating with views of the lake in the middle of the World Showcase. It is a prime location to watch the fireworks show while you enjoy your dinner.
CANADA
Last, but certainly not least, is Canada! This pavilion features totem poles, a show about the different regions of Canada, and even a waterfall. Canada has one snack cart and one signature dining location.
Starting off with the Popcorn in the Canada snack cart. The specialty here is the freshly made warm maple popcorn. You can smell it as soon as you enter Canada, and it is a hard-to-resist snack. It also has a few Canadian drinks if you would like to try one of those.
And ending this series off with (drumroll please) … Le Cellier Steakhouse signature dining restaurant. You will start off with their pretzel bread and butter before ordering anything. For appetizers, they have many options from cheddar soup to steak tartare, to shrimp cocktail and everything in between. Then moving on to the entrees, you have many different butcher’s cuts, land & sea, and many choices of sides such as mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, and more! You can end your meal with a dessert which includes cream brulee, profiterole, or other options! Le Cellier offers an elevated dining experience for adults and kids alike, and is definitely worth a visit.
Woah! That was a lot! There are many other restaurant options outside of the World Showcase in Epcot, but I’m a little biased towards eating around the world. Keep in mind that during festival seasons, there will be more booths than the ones listed above, and they will usually have limited-edition food to try! I hope this guide helps you plan your guide to eating around the world!
Until next time,
Sincerely,
The Eternal Traveler
